Acceptable use policy

To ensure everything runs smooth and to keep offering hosting for as long as possible, everyone must follow the rules outlined in this policy. In case you don't want to read it all, important text will be in bold but you are still encouraged to at least skim.

Ground rules

1. Do not attack the servers used for this service.
2. Do not take advantage of security vulnerabilities that may occur (please report these to security [AROBASE / AT] doamatto.xyz)
3. Do not use a « free TLD », such as, but not limited to : .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf, .gq
4. Do not take up more than 1 gigabyte for your website. If you need more space, touch base to see what can be done to accomodate.
5. Do keep backups of your site's source files (adequate backups are made in the form of nightly uploads to off-site B2/S3 buckets)
6. Do understand that this all done by a single person. I am only human. There will be outages. There will be issues. Please bear with me when there are issues.

Content restrictions

I don't care what you put on your website. That said, certain things cannot be on these sites, namely :

• pornography of any kind (if you are concerned about art, please err on the side of caution and ask)
• real-life gore or similar graphic content
• statements inciting violence or harm to people and/or property
• sale of illegal products or services, such as drugs, firearms, products of human remains, et al.
• any kind of proxy or traffic-relaying server
• any kind of gambling or lottery services
• distribution of any malicious software
• use of cryptocurrency miners, both on servers or on clients
• any kind of third-party tracking or adverts, such as Google Ads or Analytics, Adobe Campaign, et al.
• any other content not allowed on the Internet by Icelandic, U.S./American, or your local authorities.

Policy changes

Should this policy change, it's my responsibility to make you aware of such. You'll receive an e-mail (whenever I can get one to you) detailing a summary of changes and a link to th epolicy. It's inferred that if you say nothing, you've read the policy and are OK with the changes. If you aren't OK with policy changes, talk to me and we can figure out what needs to be fixed.
