Servers

A plethora of servers are used to provide the services people rely on. When choosing servers, the main criteria are :

• jurisdiction, preferring servers in locations with strong data laws
• reasonable costs
• root access to the server.

All servers receive a bird name, sometimes one specific to the hosting area, for internal usage. Certain servers may have other names such as owned servers also being named after Pokémon (like cobalion.doamatto.xyz.) domains and some external servers being named after local airports (like ksan.lleb.me.).

Plans to migrate to a fully-owned network (that is, our own ASN, v6 block, v4 block, and hardware) are long in the future, but very much on the roadmap.
